Contest rules

1. Contest description and duration

The “FREE CLOUD FOR A YEAR”/”UN AN DE CLOUD GRATUIT” contest on the facebook.com/projetcirrus Facebook page is organized by Projet Cirrus, a subsidiary of Micro Logic.

The contest runs from September 4, 2018, at 9:00 AM to September 30, 2018, at 11:59 PM.

2. Eligibility

Only persons who meet the following conditions can enter the contest:

  • Resident of the province of Quebec
  • Age 18 or older
  • Manager of a startup (a company with fewer than 50 employees, active in Quebec, founded within the last three years)

3. How to enter

  • No purchase necessary.
  • To enter the contest, the eligible person must meet the following conditions:
  • Limit of one entry per Facebook username and company.
  • No answers submitted should use vulgar, obscene or malicious language, nor should they harm the Projet Cirrus brand, as judged by the contest organizers.
  • In the cases mentioned above, the answers will not be retained and the entrants will be disqualified.
  • Projet Cirrus reserves the right to delete any answer deemed inappropriate or offensive, and will take all necessary steps to remove such content.

4. Contest prize

One prize will be awarded. Total prize value is $7,500.

The winning company will be awarded one year of Cloud service adapted to its needs, at the sole discretion of Projet Cirrus.

5. Winner selection

The winner will be selected by a random computerized draw from among all eligible entries. The draw will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at noon EST, at the Projet Cirrus premises in Quebec City, and the prize winner will be selected at the same time. Odds of winning the prize depend entirely on the number of eligible entries received.

Projet Cirrus will contact the winner as quickly as possible to give the prize to them.

6. Publication of winner’s name

The winner will be announced in text form and published on the facebook.com/projetcirrus website.

7. Property

Entry letters, entry forms, answers submitted and the declaration and release forms are the property of the contest organizers and will not in any case be returned to entrants.

8. General conditions

In order for the person selected to be declared the winner, the following conditions must be met:

  • The company must have an establishment in the province of Quebec.
  • The company must be a startup active in Quebec, founded less than three years ago, with fewer than 50 employees.
  • As the winner entered in the contest must reside in Quebec, the prize can only be claimed by them, and the winner releases Projet Cirrus from any liability for any loss or damage resulting from entering the contest, from the awarding or use of the prize, its quality or any defect.
  • Failure to comply with one of the conditions mentioned above or any other condition mentioned in these rules will result in disqualification of the selected entrant and a new prize draw will be held in accordance with these contest rules. The same conditions will remain applicable by making any required adaptations, if necessary.

9. Verification

Entries and declaration and release forms are subject to verification from the contest organizers. Any entry, any no –purchase entry letter or any declaration form which is, as the case may be, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, hand or mechanically reproduced, damaged, fraudulent, obtained from an unauthorized source, submitted or transmitted late, with an invalid or otherwise non-compliant phone number, may be rejected and will not grant the right, as the case may be, to entry or to the prize.

10. Disqualification

Contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify a person or to cancel one or more entries from a person if said person enters or attempts to enter this contest by using means contrary to these rules or that is likely to be unfair to other entrants. This person could be delivered to the competent legal authorities.

11. Contest conduct

Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate conduct of this contest shall constitute a violation of civil and criminal laws. In the event of such attempts, the contest organizers reserve the right to reject the entrant’s entries and to seek redress under the law.

12. Substitution and number of prizes

In the event that the contest organizers cannot award the prize as described in these rules, Projet Cirrus reserves the right to substitute the prize, in whole or in part, by another prize with an approximately equivalent value.

13. Prize limitation

In any case, the contest organizers cannot be required to award more prizes or to award a prize other than in accordance with these rules.

14. General information

Projet Cirrus, its employees, its representatives, its agents and the persons living with the aforementioned cannot enter the contest.

Any dispute as to the organization or the conduct of a contest can be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for settlement. Any dispute concerning the attribution of a prize may be addressed to the Régie only for the purposes of an attempt to resolve the dispute.

Entrants release Facebook of any liability resulting from or related to the contest, and acknowledge that the contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook.
